Microsoft has officially launched Phone Data Manager, a free software solution that enables users to synchronize their phones with the canvas to perform a backup of any type of data.
From a more practical channel for exchanging data with Windows Live Contacts will be activated and obviously after online registration and activation by a Windows Live ID.
In case of loss, theft or damage to the phone, it will be possible to resynchronize data with a new terminal, for example, restoring the list of contacts and SMS messages.
The service is currently in beta and is compatible with all terminals equipped with an operating system Windows Mobile (with support SyncML and OBEX). The terminal is connected to the PC operating system Windows XP (SP2 or SP3) or 32-bit Vista via a USB cable or Bluetooth connection.
Microsoft has still posted a list of phones that are certified as being compatible with Phone Data Manager.
