After participating in the development of the 3D movies (there are currently about 1 000 cinemas in the 3D world), Dolby now wants to bring 3D into the home. And Blu-ray  appears to be the best medium for this. The big advantage of Dolby technology is that it is compatible with all Blu-ray and 3D TV market (coming soon) and did not require any additional equipment. One argument holds that distance. Dolby has introduced its technology late last year at the Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers (SMPTE) for adoption.
